The Business edition adds the things a trading business actually has to keep straight: stock on a shelf, invoices waiting to be paid, staff to be paid on time, and returns with a date on them. Same app, same shillings, same browser — one file, no install.
Already using the free personal tracker? It stays free, and it stays as it is. These plans are a separate app for money that belongs to a business rather than to you — takings, stock, staff and returns.
Open the free trackerMove between them whenever you like. Nothing you have entered is ever deleted by a change of plan — screens are only hidden or shown.
Small stores, kiosks, salons, market stalls and anyone selling over a counter.
Trading, services and contracting — with staff on the payroll and VAT to account for.
Several branches, a finance team, and somebody who signs things off.
A kiosk, a hardware stall, a salon, a duka. You need to know what is on the shelf, what went out today, and whether the drawer balances at closing time.
→ Retail
You bill customers who pay later, you employ people whose PAYE and NSSF have to be right, and you are registered — or about to be — for VAT.
→ Business
Several branches to compare, a team entering figures, and someone who wants to see who changed what before a pay run goes out.
→ Enterprise
Nothing here is a placeholder. Every line is a screen in the app.

Rates and thresholds move with most budgets. That is exactly why they are data you control rather than numbers buried in the code — and why every screen that uses them says when you last confirmed them.
In your own browser, on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account to create, which is why it keeps working with the internet switched off. It also means clearing your browsing data erases everything — so take a backup from Settings › Data regularly and keep it somewhere else. That backup file is also how you move your books to a new computer.
Any time, in both directions. Set it under Settings › Your plan. Moving down hides the screens that plan does not include — it never deletes anything, and everything reappears the moment you move back up.
No, and if you are not, you should not be charging it. VAT is off by default. On the Business plan you switch it on once you register, enter your VAT number, and every invoice raised from that point carries VAT. Invoices already issued are left exactly as they were.
It holds your items with cost and sale prices, tracks what is on hand, warns you when a line drops below its reorder level, and prints a count sheet for a stock take. Every sale through the till takes the stock off the shelf at the cost it was carried at, so the margin and the cost-of-goods figures in your reports are worked out for you rather than guessed at.
You can record who works on the books and in what role, up to the limit on your plan. Be clear about what that is: this app has no login of its own, so anyone who can open that browser can open everything in it. If people must be kept out of each other's screens, use separate machines or browser profiles. On Enterprise, the audit trail records who changed what.
Yes, on every plan. Settings › Look & feel has twelve themes — light and dark — and sixteen accent colours, or you can type your own brand hex code and the whole app takes it. There is a spacing setting too: compact fits more rows on a laptop, roomy makes the buttons and figures bigger for a screen read across a counter. You can also put your brand colour on the rules and headings of printed invoices, quotes and payslips. Whatever colour you choose, the app works out readable text to sit on it, and warns you if a colour will be hard to read on the theme you have picked.
Always, and in two forms. A JSON backup holds everything and restores in one press. An Excel export writes a sheet per list — items, movements, documents, payments, expenses, customers, suppliers, staff, pay runs, payslips and the filing calendar — which is the file to hand your accountant.
Yes. The till and the day's sales are built for a small screen, which is where a counter usually is. The reports are easier to read on something bigger.
There is a sample business inside — items, sales, an overdue invoice and two staff — so you can read every report with figures in it before entering anything real. Clear it in one press when you are ready.
